Just four days after the tragic accidents in Luftenberg (Perg district) and Tarsdorf (Braunau district), a 22-year-old died in an accident in Heiligenberg (Grieskirchen district) on Thursday. As the police report, the Eschenauer wanted to turn from the Holzhumer freight route onto Leithenbachstrasse (L1210) with his company car, a Mercedes Sprinter. He may have overlooked a Seat Alhambra, driven by a 36-year-old from Andorf (Schärding district).
Died at the scene of the accident despite resuscitation
There was a serious collision between the two cars, after which the 22-year-old, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle. According to police, he remained lying in an adjacent meadow. The following drivers provided first aid and called the emergency number. However, the young man suffered such serious injuries that he died at the scene of the accident.
“Despite immediate resuscitation measures, the emergency doctor was unfortunately only able to determine that the 22-year-old was dead at 7:37 a.m.,” said a spokesman for the state police headquarters. The second driver involved was taken to the Wels Clinic after initial treatment.
