The city of Traun is investing heavily in its schools until 2028

Mayor Karl-Heinz Koll wants to create modern learning environments.

The municipality wants to invest 38.6 million euros in its educational facilities in the coming years – the lion’s share of this, a good two thirds, goes to the ongoing maintenance of all compulsory schools.

Several investment projects in Traun schools are on the agenda until 2028: There are renovation plans for the St. Martin middle school and the Oedt elementary school. The St. Martin elementary school is also being renovated; additional classrooms and additional rooms will also be created at this school location. In addition, a renovation concept is to be drawn up for the St. Dionysen elementary school.

“Key to education”

Mayor Karl-Heinz Koll (VP) is continuing the path taken in 2021, since then construction projects and equipment measures with a volume of around 1.2 million euros have been implemented – always under the premise of creating contemporary learning opportunities.
“Modern school buildings and learning spaces are the key to education and integration. My goal is to make our children fit for their future through optimally equipped learning environments with modern digital equipment,” says Koll.
