Looking back at the anniversary year of the Innviertel Artists’ Guild (IKG, founded in 1923), we are pleased. “Even the state’s cultural directorate has confirmed that no artists’ association has ever put together such a comprehensive and dense program,” says the IKG board, not without pride. But we are moving into the future with a lot of enthusiasm. The aim is to “network the artistic disciplines,” as chairman Klauszeugner explains. In the future, exhibitions will be combined with readings, scenic representations or music contributions.
Archive work is also pending: The Inge and Gregor Fuchs family from Braunau have left their extensive archive – around 8,500 books, 1,300 folders and 100 works of art from IKG members – to the guild. The inventory will be cataloged and processed this year.

The IKG’s exhibition year opens with the exhibitions “Schwarz-Weiß” (photo projects of the IKG; opened yesterday in the guild) and “Multiple” (Dickinger, Laven, Zenz; Stadttorturm Braunau, opening April 5th, 7 p.m.). Details about the events: www.innviertler-kuenstlergilde.at
