A number of false reports about the corona vaccination persist. Many people are therefore also unsure and hesitate to get the protective vaccination, says District Captain Gerald Kronberger. Together with Primary Jürgen Barth, these people should be relieved of their insecurity. The medic has agreed to personally answer questions about vaccinations in the communities in the Braunau district.
On Tuesday, December 28th and Thursday, December 30th, he will answer questions at 7 p.m. in Geretsberg and Höhnhart. “I have already held vaccination information events in a number of companies, so I have a rough idea of what to expect,” he says. He wants to explain the complex relationships in an understandable way and clear up false reports. “Ideally, those who are still hesitant will be vaccinated afterwards,” he hopes. “You should trust the experts in particular, not Dr. Google,” emphasizes Kronberger.
Convince doubters
The radical opponents of vaccination will certainly not be reached, says Braunau’s mayor spokesman Josef Leimer (VP). “But maybe those who want a second opinion.” The congregations can contact Dr. Report to Barth and request such an event. Mobile vaccination teams from the hospital can also travel to the individual communities if necessary. “My colleagues are very willing to help out. There is still a lot of room for improvement in the quota. Every hand that vaccinates is urgently needed,” he says.
The still low rate in the Braunau district (58.2 percent) is certainly not due to the vaccination offer. Vaccinations are carried out daily in the Braunau district sports hall, recently also in the Sepp-Öller-Halle in Mattighofen, as well as by almost all resident doctors. In January, a vaccination line will also be opened in Geretsberg, which will be operated alternately with the one in Mattighofen.
The offer was well received during the vaccination campaign week. In 14 days it was possible to increase the vaccination rate by two percent, said Kronberger. He would like to thank everyone who provided support – in addition to the doctors and their employees, the Red Cross and the WEMS company, as well as the communities that have taken on the registrations for the vaccination in many places and continue to do so in order to relieve the medical practices.
The main goal is to increase the vaccination rate and, above all, to expose and clarify false reports with regard to the planned mandatory vaccination. Further campaigns are planned, Kronberger announced.
