Starting today, the traditional culture weeks will cover a colorful spectrum from folk culture to contemporary art. “We invite you to briefly press the stop button in your everyday life and recharge your batteries with inspiration and joy,” says Hans Hinterreiter, who put together the program together with Martina Fröhlich.
It starts today at 7.30 p.m. in the “Arena”: Franz Gumpenberger is gathering old hands and young people from local poets and folk musicians around him. Werner Schwab’s “Presidents”, which were described as a “scandalous piece” at their premiere, are not for the faint of heart. In Bad Zell, castle actress Barbara Petritsch and Nikolaus Habjan, known for his bizarre puppets, look into human abysses in a theatrical performance of the piece on April 12th (7:30 p.m., parish hall).
When the musicians from “Los Gringos” with accordion player Otto Lechner perform the 20 most beautiful songs in the world on April 20th (Hotel Lebensquell), what will be particularly exciting is their passionate presentation of well-known songs.
Actress Maria Hofstätter will deliver another highlight on May 11th with Christine Lavant’s story “The Changeling”. Improvisational theater, a concert by Musica Sonare and an exhibition by photo artist Stefanie Freynschlag in the Hotel Lebensquell round off the program.
