In the area of the main train station, the Volksgarten and the Schillerpark, officers from the Linz city police command checked teenagers and young adults on Friday afternoon. 54 identity checks were carried out within two and a half hours. Eleven people were reported under the Narcotic Drugs Act, including two minors and four young adults.

The police seized small amounts of cannabis, heroin and Substitol, as well as a switchblade that a minor had with him. A provisional weapons ban was issued against the boy. Two under-18-year-olds were also reported for smoking cigarettes illegally, the police said in the evening.
