A 39-year-old suffered serious hand injuries in front of her husband on Friday in Putzleinsdorf (Rohrbach district): At around 4:45 p.m. the couple was busy removing a dry branch from a fruit tree with a chainsaw. While the 42-year-old man was operating the saw, his wife wanted to pull the branch aside. Her left hand got caught in the chainring.
The saw severed the 39-year-old’s little finger. She also suffered a cut on the ball of her hand. The emergency doctor treated the woman at the scene of the accident before she was taken by rescue helicopter to the accident hospital in Linz.
