The home team got off to a dream start and took the lead through Jean-Philippe Mateta (3rd). City countered ten minutes later, Kevin de Bruyne flicked the ball into the top corner. After a fairly even first half, the game was clearly dominated by the guests after the break. Rico Lewis (47th), Erling Haaland (66th) and again De Bruyne (70th) secured the deserved success of the current triple winner, Odsonne Édouard (86th) only managed cosmetic results.

ManCity completed a successful dress rehearsal for the quarter-final first leg in the Champions League on Tuesday at Real Madrid. Glasner’s record with Crystal Palace is one win, two draws and three defeats.
