40,000 to 50,000 steps does a marathon runner. The knee joint is loaded with a total of 5000 tons (for a runner weighing 80 kg). Around 200 paramedics are positioned approximately three kilometers apart along the marathon route. The police stand around the weekend 200 civil servants in service.
Traffic information
The A7, the Mühlkreis motorway, will be closed in both directions from 4 a.m. to around 12 p.m., between the Prinz-Eugen-Straße and Treffling junctions. In addition, other entrances and exits will be closed: at Wiener Straße, Neue Welt/Salzburger Straße. Arriving runners can exit after the Bindermichl – RI Prague – Freistadt enclosure to the Prinz-Eugen-Straße – Industriezeile exit. The departure to Treffling is always possible – from Treffling: closure from 4 a.m. to the south!
Motorable roads:
- There is a continuous connection from the A7 via the West Bridge – Waldeggstrasse – Römerberg Tunnel – Nibelungen Bridge – towards Bad Leonfelden.
- The A7 is accessible from the A1 until the Prinz-Eugen-Straße exit (including the Prinz-Eugen-Straße exit to Industriezeile).
- The Ebelsberg bypass with a connection to the A7 or the Steyregger Bridge is passable.
Shuttle buses for runners and spectators drive from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. between Holzstrasse and the Plasser & Theurer parking lot (Industriezeile/corner of Pummererstrasse) and between the main train station and Holzstrasse (6:30 a.m. to 9:40 a.m.). Changes in Tram transport: No traffic on the night line N82 on Sunday night (until 4 a.m.) between Sonnensteinstrasse and the main train station.
