Shortly after 2 p.m. on Sunday, the 69-year-old from Burgenland got lost on his racing bike in the St. Johann am Walde area and wanted to turn around in a house driveway – when he was bitten on the left lower leg by the 9-year-old free-roaming house dog.
According to police, the 54-year-old dog owner reacted immediately and called emergency services. The Burgenlander was taken to Ried Hospital after initial treatment.
