Despite 0-1 against Voitsberg: “We can be really good”

In the more than 100-year club history of SK Vorwärts Steyr, the red-whites have only lost once, on September 8, 1968, also in the Regionalliga Mitte, against Voitsberg. However, hardly anyone will be able to remember that.

On Friday the SKV suffered its second defeat against the Styrians. But despite the 0-1 loss to the league leaders, coach Markus Eitl was mostly satisfied: “Voitsberg was more dangerous and Michael Fauland made excellent saves a few times, but we would have had the chance to get a point. And I saw that we could be very good .” The decisive goal in front of around 1,000 spectators came just before the break. The Red-Whites were denied a potential equalizer by Milan Ziric in the second half because of an offside position. Eitl: “According to the video, it wasn’t.”
