An 18-year-old driver from the Vöcklabruck district was driving his non-road-legal motocross machine with his girlfriend on Gallerberger Straße in the direction of Timelkam. When the driver noticed the police car with the blue lights and horn on behind him, he accelerated and drove away – sometimes at up to 90 km/h through a local area with a 30 km/h limit – in the direction of Timelkam in order to avoid the stop .
The driver was finally stopped at an intersection in Timelkam and subjected to a driver and vehicle check. The 18-year-old was unable to produce a valid Class A driving license. An alcohol test carried out was positive. The driver was forbidden to continue driving and his moped license was temporarily taken away.
