The regularization of 1,200 butcher shops throughout the country advances

More than 100 architects were interested in being part of the project that aims to remodel the Uruguayan butcher shops so that they comply with the established standards, as reported by the Society of Architects of Uruguay (SAU).

This total of businesses represents 74% of all the butcher shops and chicken shops that exist in the Uruguay. Therefore, since INAC set out to develop a support policy for these premises that aims to comply with the conditions of the Single National Registry of Butcher Shops (RUNEC).

Training for architects

In this way, through an agreement signed by the INAC and the SAU, More than 100 architects were interested in participating in the remodeling stage of these businesses. For this, professionals must access the instruction provided by the INAC with the sector’s own specifications for which they have until May 2 through the official website of the regulatory body.

With this, the architects must present plans and other documents necessary for the fitting out and maintenance of the premises. On the other hand, the premises will have a list of qualified architects at their disposal and those who choose one of them will obtain a partial exoneration in the cost of the authorization or adaptation process for their premises.

The keys to the INAC plan

The plan of INAC is to carry out a mechanism for a first stage of adaptation of the requirements currently in force and for the possibility of renewing equipment. On the other hand, butcher shops that already have all the structural conditions for authorization will also have the opportunity to access credits.

With him INAC There are also two financial entities that support the plan. The first the Bank of the Republic (BROU) who reached an agreement with the institute. To this, now added Microfinance Republicwhich will allow the guarantee of the investment promotion plan to be processed with direct access to credit.

The credit will be provided at a discounted rate with interest refunds that depend on good credit compliance and its evolution. “When the premises are adapted, with the obtaining of the new authorization for 5 years and with the fulfillment of the payment of fees before BROU on date, INAC will reimburse you for the interest you have paid through financing, with a limit of up to the first 24 months of credit,” states the official website of the INAC. This support will allow the butcher shops to continue with their authorization for 5 more years.

Meanwhile, the process to access the credit is done on the official website of the INAC and the requirements to obtain it are the identity card of the company representative who will sign the procedure, the presentation of the investment form and, if available, the presentation of the project plan.
