Incorrigible moped driver (62) threatened police officers in the Mühlviertel

The man was arrested and taken to the police station (symbolic image).

He didn’t have a driver’s license or registration for his moped, and a 62-year-old who was checked by the police in the municipality of Königswiesen (Freistadt district) on Tuesday around lunchtime also lacked insight. After the man refused to take a breathalyzer test, the officers banned him from continuing his journey. Postscript: He had to push his moped there, which he wanted to take to a neighbor.

Report at large

The Mühlviertler did that for at least 50 meters. When he thought he was out of the officers’ field of vision, he got back on – and caught the patrol again. During the second check, the man behaved aggressively and threatened the police officers. He was arrested and taken to the police station. During his questioning, he confessed to some extent and asserted that he did not mean the threat seriously. The 62-year-old was released after consultation with the public prosecutor’s office, the police announced in the evening.
