The event will take place on Saturday, May 11th on the occasion of the Grenzland Running Cup 2024. Registration for the premiere is already possible online at sc-neuhaus-inn.de. Competitions are offered in several age groups and distances. Children and young people can demonstrate their sporting skills over 500 or 1200 meters. The half marathon as well as the half marathon relay and the seven kilometer run then start. The start and finish are at the Old Inn Bridge in Neuhaus am Inn. Half of the route leads through the Bavarian border community and half through Schärding. During and after the races, spectators will be provided with refreshments at the old customs house in Neuhaus.
“Sport inherently connects Neuhaus and Schärding,” says Stephan Dorn, mayor of Neuhaus and one of the people who came up with the idea for the new sporting event. He is looking forward to the cross-border event. The anticipation is also entirely on the Austrian side: “I am pleased that the first Limitless Half Marathon will further strengthen the bond of friendship that has always connected Schärding and Neuhaus,” says Schärding’s mayor Günter Streicher.
