“Vivant alumni”: Sponsorship for 27 Med graduates

Sponsorship celebration in the JKU ballroom on Wednesday

26 master’s graduates studied to become Doctor medicinae universae in the presence of Deputy Governor Christine Haberlander; the 14 women were slightly in the majority. One graduate received a doctorate in philosophy.

With the celebration in the JKU ballroom, the prospective doctors completed their studies – this is the only human medicine course in Austria that is offered in the Bachelor-Master system.

“Decisive milestone”

“The graduation is a milestone for our medical graduates,” said Elgin Drda, who is responsible for the medical faculty. “You have chosen a career that, in addition to technical expertise, requires a high level of human and social competence and will require great personal commitment,” says Drda. In view of demographic developments, the JKU is fulfilling its social responsibility to train highly qualified young doctors.

Congratulations also came from Deputy Governor Christine Haberlander, who is responsible for health and education in the state: “Together we are working towards a big goal: ensuring that people in our country live healthy and well. For your work as a doctor, in which you play a crucial role contribute to this goal, I wish you all the best!”
