Together with three other historians, Thomas Schlager-Weidinger from Kallham has published a new book about the conscientious objector and Nazi opponent Franz Jägerstätter. “Especially in times when right-wing populist parties have a large following, a look at the recent past can be helpful. Moral and political sensitivity is required in order to be able to adequately counter the mechanisms of seduction and abuse of power,” says Schlager-Weidinger. The 197-page volume “Against the Current – But How?” will be presented on April 17th at 6 p.m. at the Catholic Private University of Linz.
