A missing 87-year-old woman was found alive but hypothermic. The woman probably left the house during the night wearing scantily dressed clothes. The relatives initially looked for the woman themselves, but couldn’t find her, so they alerted the emergency services.

36 firefighters, two police officers and seven Red Cross helpers arrived to help with the search. The fire departments used drones and a thermal imaging camera and were successful: in just a short time, the old woman was found lying in the middle of a meadow – not far from her home. Because she was severely hypothermic, she was given first aid by the Red Cross and then had to be taken to Braunau Hospital.
