“Yes, we have received a request from the United States for his extradition. After that, we asked the court to set a date for the hearing, ”she told RIA Novosti.

According to de Heir, the date of the hearing in the case of the detained Russian is not yet known.

On November 13, Denis Dubnikov, co-founder of the Coyotes group of crypto exchangers – EGG CASH, was detained in Amsterdam at the request of the United States. He is accused of laundering $ 400,000 in cryptocurrency in the interests of cybercriminals. According to the lawyer of the Russian Arkady Bukh, Dubnikov was denied entry to Mexico in early November, from where he was sent to Amsterdam and detained.

He faces up to 20 years in prison, Bukh said. He also stressed that the defense of the Russian would insist that he did not know where the money came from and was acting in accordance with Russian law.

Earlier, on November 11, Russian Alexander Zhukov, found guilty of electronic fraud in the United States, was sentenced to 10 years in prison and damages in excess of $ 3.8 million. Zhukov was arrested in Bulgaria in 2018 and extradited to the United States in 2019. year, where he was convicted on four counts: conspiracy with electronic scammers, electronic fraud, money laundering conspiracy and money laundering.

Earlier, in July, US President Joe Biden held telephone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The leaders continued their dialogue on the fight against cybercrime and information security.
