The average total amount per operation measured in constant pesos had a drop of 4% compared to the previous semester and 9% when observed in year-on-year terms, although volumes grew. Legal entities continue to have a greater relative share of the volumes, representing 38% of them, and the government, another 35%.
Regarding natural persons, they were the origin of 63% of the total interbank transfers, followed far behind by legal entities, with 25%.
Instant transfers tripled in the second half of 2023
On the other hand, it is observed that the instant transfers They tripled in the second half of last year compared to January-June, with a figure that reached 6.3 million transactions.
93% of these instant operations were carried out in local currency and the average amount per transaction was reduced to 4,331 pesos and 219 dollars for those in the North American currency.
Along these lines, it is highlighted that the relative weight of transactions less than or equal to 1,000 pesos, or 50 dollars in the case of those carried out in foreign currency, was around 30%.
