The body regions to be examined could also be optimally limited. “Thanks to computer support, smaller lesions can now be seen even earlier. Overall, the examinations are now even more precise, safer and faster.”
The end of the lead apron on patients came as part of a joint recommendation from the five relevant specialist societies for radiation protection and imaging in Austria. The recommendation was based on international studies and developments. Radiation protection aprons are still available only at dentists.
