Perg is happy about Austria’s first baby storks

The hungry offspring wants to be fed.

For the second time in a row, the “ÖBB storks” in Perg have new blood. In March, the couple came to the district town in the Mühlviertel and made the federal railway’s radio masts comfortable. And the waiting and brooding were worth it: now the first chicks have hatched and are being cared for by the proud parents. According to ÖBB, these are the first baby storks in Austria.

The storks have clearly made themselves at home at lofty heights. They love a clear view of the world and a high landing spot. In order to be able to offer them this, but at the same time to protect the radio mast, a special platform was installed on which the animals can build their nest – observed by a specially installed stork camera that documents the procedure in the Storch house.

However, nothing is currently known about the gender and name of the offspring.
