It will rain again and again across Upper Austria on Friday and Saturday. There are also strong winds of up to 60 km/h. This makes the already cool 9-10 degrees feel even colder. In the south of Upper Austria it rains heavily, especially on Saturdays.

The dense clouds will clear at least in places on Sunday. But the temperatures remain cool with a maximum of 9 degrees. It will be dry and frosty on Monday with temperatures up to 10 degrees.
It’s getting frosty
At night temperatures will drop to freezing point and in some places even below throughout the weekend. “This weather will accompany us until Tuesday, after which the trend will be upwards. However, the temperatures will remain well below average for the next 10 to 14 days,” says Stärz.
Due to the cloudy nights, we have been lucky with the ground frost so far. However, this is definitely possible on Friday night. According to the meteorologist, things will be most critical on Monday: “It will be drier and a little colder. There could be not only ground frost, but also air frost.”
If you haven’t changed your winter tires yet, you should leave it at that: “It doesn’t make much sense to change the tires now when it can freeze at night,” says Stärz.
The flowers in front of the door should be brought in to be on the safe side. According to Stärz, it is very typical for years in which spring comes very soon that the frost comes again later. But it is rare for it to get cold again for almost two weeks: “We have slipped from one extreme to the other extreme.”
