She was sorely missed for a week, but she was probably in the house the whole time: We’re talking about a cat that recently triggered an extensive animal rescue operation in Hörsching (Linz-Land district). The four-legged friend probably got through a small opening into a gap between the wall and the oven and was stuck there helplessly. Because the owner heard her but couldn’t see her, he finally called animal rescue.
Parts of the oven removed
Helpers from the Upper Austria Animal Rescue TROÖ and the Gusental Animal Aid came to the rescue operation. The exact location of the cat was determined using a pipe camera. In order to free the animal from its predicament, its rescuers had to remove parts of the oven. Visibly marked by the exertions of the past few days, the cat was handed over to the owner, who had it treated medically.
