The autumn champions Rohrbach-Berg are one point ahead of their toughest championship rivals Donau Linz before today’s hit (kick-off: 6.15 p.m.). Coach Christian Eisschiel’s team also played one fewer game. “We expect a strong opponent with a high quality of individual players, but who is under extreme pressure and actually has to win,” says Eisschiel. His team hasn’t lost yet in the spring. “We have shown that we can keep up with the top teams and want to get the most out of it without any pressure,” explains Eisschiel. If they win at home, it would be difficult to catch up with the Rohrbachers in the title race. Last week’s draw in St. Ulrich doesn’t give Eisschiel a headache: “The performance was good, but unfortunately the game wasn’t on our side. We can live with the point.” By the way, there was also a draw in the first leg in Linz: the game ended 2-2.
Putzleinsdorf would like to take another step towards staying in the league today. The Mujkanovic team is hosting the SPG Union St. Florian/Niederneukirchen.
St. Martin wants to get back to winning ways in the Upper Austrian League tomorrow. Not an easy undertaking, because Bad Schallerbach, second in the table, comes to the Aubachstadion.
