Shortly after 8:30 a.m., the alarm was received by the company fire department and the Lenzing, Reibersdorf, Vöcklabruck, Timelkam, and Schörfling fire departments. Fire broke out on the Lenzing AG factory premises. High clouds of smoke rise above the company building. The fire is believed to have started in the area of the tower. Alert level 2 has been declared and the large-scale fire brigade operation is still underway. There were initially no reports of injuries.
