The former senator of National Party, Gustavo Penadés, could spend at least another six months in jail after the appeals court confirm the extension of the preventive prison defined at the beginning of April.
Penadés continues to follow the judicial path in the case in which he is accused of 22 crimes of sexual abuse against minors, and now he must remain in prison for another 180 days, at least until October 10.
The measure corresponds to an extension of the preventive detention that was imposed on October 10, when he was formalized in the case as a defendant, which expired on April 10.
