The driver of the vehicle left the road and crashed into a wall with full force. The driver was able to free himself from the wreckage. First responders were already taking care of the man when the emergency services from the Hargelsberg and Kronstorf fire departments and the police arrived.

A rescue team and the ÖAMTC rescue helicopter were deployed to care for the injured driver. The man was taken to Steyr Hospital. A towing service was called in to recover the badly damaged vehicle.
