According to his statement, the 56-year-old truck driver from Poland activated his hazard lights at around 6:45 a.m. on Monday and stopped his semi-trailer at the side of the road on the B141, the Rieder federal road between Haag am Hausruck and Grieskirchen. He wanted to make sure he was still on the right route.
A 26-year-old from the Grieskirchen district then crashed into the rear of the trailer. The 26-year-old was seriously injured and was taken to the Wels-Grieskirchen Clinic after being treated by the emergency doctor.
