Smuggled and outlawed

Dog smuggling is obviously flourishing: a few days ago, a young dog was handed over to the animal protection farm Pfotenhilfe in Lochen (Braunau district, not far from the border with the Vöcklabruck district), who initially wanted to abandon an apparently drug addict in Linz. The OÖNachrichten reported yesterday in a short message on the quick page.

When the woman was observed, she gave away the little four-legged friend without further ado in a pub. A courageous animal lover then took the dog and her passport and brought her to Lochen to help with paws. Its boss, Johanna Stadler, immediately took care of the only a few months old black animal and called it Fanni.

“As is so often the case, Fanni was also a victim of the dog mafia,” said Stadler. “Much too early, she was snatched from her mother, illegally smuggled to Austria and sold. The vaccination certificate did not belong to Fanni either, the registered microchip is not implanted, and the vaccinations seem to have been falsified.” Stadler is convinced that Fanni, who apparently comes from Serbia, should not even have crossed the borders.

During the initial examination, the vet from Pfotenhilfe immediately noticed that Fanni had several hairless areas, was covered with parasites and generally looked neglected. The little bitch is also troubled by an infectious disease, which is why she continues to receive veterinary treatment.

Stadler: “I don’t understand why people are still ordering dogs from dubious foreign sources while the animal shelters are already more than full. Such dogs are an additional burden. We hope that Fanni will be healthy again by the new year.” we will find a loving family for them. ”
