China announces the launch of the Shenzhou-18 manned spacecraft to its space station

The Chinese manned spacecraft Shenzhou-18 is scheduled for take off at 20:59 (Beijing time) on Thursday. Takeoff will be from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centerin the northwest of the country, the China Manned Space Agency announced today Wednesday.

The Shenzhou-17 crew is scheduled to return to the Dongfeng landing site on April 30, after completing the handover of in-orbit work to the Shenzhou-18 crew, the deputy director said.
