In June 2021, the Pattigham Music Association was awarded the contract to host the 2024 district brass music festival. So after exactly 30 years, in keeping with the music club’s 130th anniversary, the community will once again be the center of the Rieder brass music scene for a weekend. Consultant Roland Fellner, chairman of the Pattigham Music Association, expects more than 8,000 visitors over the three days. More than 30 bands have already confirmed their attendance. The Pattigham musicians began preparations immediately after the award.

“The most important task was to reserve a suitable festival tent. There are only two providers in the whole of Austria who rent tents measuring 80 x 40 meters, as we need them,” says Fellner, who is also Rieder district chairman. There are still exactly 55 days until the starting signal for the brass music festival. Preparations have been going on for three years. In the coming weeks, the intensity will be increased again, as the chairman says. “55 days sound like a lot, but they will fly by. There is still a lot of work ahead of us, but our team is working every day to put together a great celebration,” says Fellner. The organizational team consists of 15 people. Katrin Rögl and Christoph Sturm are in charge.
