Peru bans alcoholic beverages during end of the year parties due to Covid-19

Due to the outbreak, the government banned family gatherings and parties at Christmas and New Years, while reinforcing the vaccination campaign, which reaches 75% of the population.

Peru, with 33 million inhabitants, accumulates more than two million infections and more than 201,000 deaths from the coronavirus and has the highest death rate from the pandemic in the world, with 6,122 deaths per million, according to an AFP balance based on in official figures.
