The Belgrano trattoria where everything smells like Italy

The Belgrano trattoria where everything smells like Italy

This must-see in the traditional Buenos Aires neighborhood is run by a pasta-loving couple.

Biasatti’s Trattothe restaurant that came to complete the proposal for a pasta factory and Italian market in Stefania Langford and Milton Bertonithe chefs and owners of the place, was born with the aim of being more than a pastificio and that its authentic Italian delicacies can be tasted in the same place where they are manufactured.

From the living room with shed lamps and wooden tables, you can see the kneading and preparation of the pasta. Imposing windows surround the cozy place and provide it with plenty of light. As for the aromas that are perceived, the destination to which they transport us is unmistakable: Italy.

And with this country in mind and under the nose, the menu choice is just as clear: pasta. Made in an artisanal way with durum grain semolina and free-range eggs, some options are braised lamb ravioli (in its cooking base with sour cream); the ossobuco and spinach ravioli (with fresh cream, mushrooms, pangrattato, rosemary and lemon); bucatini al bronzo a la amatriciana (with Italian pomodoro, guanciale, red onion, fried basil and pecorino); the bolognese lasagna (with pomodoro, bechamel and parmesan), and among the vegetarian options, the cabutia and mascarpone ravioli (with sage butter and toasted almonds); the pappardelle testurate hand-cut (with artichokes, butter, garlic, lemon, pepperoncino, mint, parsley and parmesan); the bronze rigatoniroasted garlic and basil (with Italian pomodoro, golden ricotta, pecorino and fresh oregano) and creamy ricotta and parmesan ravioli (with eggplant and burrata caponata).

Some fillings you can opt for are sautéed spinach, fresh basil leaves, polpetta, and sun-dried tomato pesto with toasted almonds; or mortadella with pistachios, creamy ricotta and basil pesto.

The sweet moment continues with Italian airs, then on the menu we find the classic Tiramisu (with Italian mascarpone, coffee liqueur, vanilla, espresso, chocolate and cocoa); the panna cotta (with coffee syrup and walnut biscotto) and sicilian cannoli with pistachios or candied oranges.
