You can hear him from far away. A carpet of sound consisting of music and the announcements of showmen spreads from the banks of the Danube across the entire city center of Linz. And the closer you get to it, the more your sense of smell is stimulated: the aroma of bratwursts, langos and cotton candy are inhaled vigorously – intentionally or not. It is now clear at the latest that the Urfahraner market has started again.
The crowd is big on Saturday mornings, every ride wants to be tried out. And what time would be better for this than the traditional free rides between 10 and 11 a.m.? The new public favorite at the festival site is perhaps 80 meters high because its namesake was also able to celebrate literary heights: the “Jules Verne Tower” towers above everything. Anyone who rides the carousel here may not fly “Around the world in 80 days”, but within a few seconds they will get a unique panorama over the roofs of the state capital.
