When referring to the delay, Stipanicic raised issues such as the weather, but also a loss detected in the desulfurization plant. After the inspection and reassembly of a 50-meter scaffold, two weeks of extra work are expected.
“These are common situations in the start-up of this type of facilities. It is not only to eliminate the loss, but to ensure the mechanical availability of all the intervened equipment,” said the leader.

Ancap’s losses due to the maintenance stoppage
The works in La Teja have a strong impact on the operations of Ancap, which in March recorded losses of 27% year-on-year, mainly linked to the loss of refining resulting from not having the plant.
In total, the company achieved net income for 6,638 million constant pesos in March, compared to the 9,296 million pesos obtained in the same month of 2023. It is worth noting that this is the twelfth consecutive drop in interannual terms.
This present complex is explained in the fifth consecutive fall in the income compared to the previous month, with a stop in La Teja that began in September. It is that in November of last year it registered net income for 8,226 million pesos; in December, for 7,412 million; in January, 6,838 million; in February, 6,655 million; and in March the aforementioned 6,638 million pesos.
