A full-scale fire in the Pongau waste disposal company triggered major operations

A total of 215 women and men and 49 vehicles from the fire department, Red Cross and police were on duty. The fire quickly spread to the building. About two hours later, the fire was under control and no one was injured, the Pongau District State Fire Brigade Association reported in a press release.

As the police announced in the afternoon, the fire was probably due to a technical cause. Investigators have ruled out arson. The material damage is estimated at several hundred thousand euros.
