The Swiss architect Miriam Isabel Seiler was sworn in yesterday by Mayor Klaus Luger (SP) as a new member of the Linz design advisory board. She replaces the previous member, architect Kathrin Susanna Gimmel, who is expecting new members and has therefore left the committee.

International projects
Seiler was born in Basel and, after studying at ETH Zurich, was a project manager and later partner at Blue Architects in Zurich with projects in Switzerland, the Netherlands, France and the USA. In parallel to her work as a partner, she also taught at ETH Zurich. She then took over project management at Baumschlager Eberle with projects in Switzerland, China, the Czech Republic, Romania and Austria. Since 2011, Seiler has been a partner at Baumschlager Hutter Partners and managing director at the Zurich office.
