Sharp increase in disaster operations

The most striking difference is in disaster operations, which increased from 0 in 2022 to 353 in 2023. This is due to the many extreme weather situations, such as storms, heavy rain or the unusually intense snowfall in December. At that time, more than 200 snow pressure missions were necessary within twelve hours. “Despite many challenges, we were always there and, with great commitment and skill, we saved lives and minimized property damage,” says fire director Stefan Krausbar.
