The boy disappeared from his parents’ garden on Wednesday afternoon and was discovered about an hour later by his sister (13) and a police patrol about 200 meters from their shared home. The family of six had spent May 1st outdoors when the youngest of the four children, aged two to 13, suddenly disappeared shortly after 2 p.m. According to the police, the boy’s parents and eldest sister went looking.

Happy ending after an hour

The search of the adjacent gardens was unsuccessful, which is why the boy’s 46-year-old father called the police after half an hour. The emergency services showed up with a total of four patrols, and shortly after 3 p.m. there was a happy ending. The boy’s 13-year-old sister discovered her little brother together with a police patrol, whereupon police officers handed the uninjured little one over to his overjoyed parents a short time later, the Upper Austria State Police Directorate announced on Wednesday evening.
