The municipality of San Vero Milis in the north of the island is the first municipality in Italy to allow couples to get married on a nudist beach without clothes. Mayor Luigi Tedeschi has looked into the legislation and necessary permits and has drawn up a council resolution that will now make the nudist beach of Is Benas the venue for a civil wedding.
German couple gave impetus
The impetus for this came from a German couple who wanted to be able to get married naked at the end of the summer, local media reported. Is Benas beach is one of six nudist beaches in Sardinia, with two more to be established soon. “Sardinia is a true paradise for those who like to live in close contact with nature.
