It was 10:10 p.m. when the 30-year-old from the Freistadt district was driving his tractor and two trailers on the L1489 from Reichenau towards Schenkenfelden. His four-year-old stepson was in the vehicle in a child seat.
At the level of the house at Linzer Straße 18, an oncoming company bus wanted to turn left onto a municipal road. The 32-year-old driver from the Urfahr-Umwelt district may have overlooked the tractor trailer and a collision occurred.
The driver of the company bus and the four-year-old suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Freistadt State Hospital and the Linz Kepler University Hospital. After the breathalyzer test revealed suspicion of intoxication, the 32-year-old refused a test with the calibrated breathalyzer. His driver’s license was taken away.
