Shortly before midnight on Thursday evening, police officers became aware of the 21-year-old from the Freistadt district because he was holding two traffic signs in his hand. The young man stated that he had stolen it a few meters earlier. The officers asked him to return the traffic signs.
While taking his personal details, the man suddenly hit one of the police officers in the face with the palm of his hand. The police used physical strength to bring the 21-year-old to the ground and arrested him. The man tried to defend himself with kicks and threats, but failed.
After calming down at the police station, the 21-year-old was released around 1:40 a.m. He will be reported to the Linz public prosecutor’s office.
