On Thursday around 9:15 p.m., a 52-year-old from Linz threatened his neighbors – how this happened is still unclear. Then he barricaded himself in his apartment in the south of Linz. When the police came, he also threatened the officers. If they didn’t leave, he would come out of the apartment armed with a knife.

The Linz public prosecutor’s office ordered the man’s arrest. The police – several patrols and the rapid intervention group were on duty – opened the door with a ram and arrested the 52-year-old. The man, who had apparently consumed drugs, was taken to the Linz prison. The officers also found cannabis herb in the apartment.
