Fidel Perez Ochoa was born in a town of Colombia called Chiriguana, in the province of Cease. More than seven years ago, Fidel became a gastronomic entrepreneur when he opened BierHof in the heart of Palermo, a brewery Inspired by typical German bars. And in January of this year she finally gave life to that other dream project, House Six. The name chosen for the place takes him directly to his childhood; He lived on block five, “house six.” With this proposal, he not only fulfilled his desire to have his own digging with carefully selected labels, but also took gastronomy to the same level.
House Six is a wine bar located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Chacarita. With only 25 square meters, the space has an innovative selection of wines and a menu that accompanies with signature dishes designed to share.

For his part, the architect Mark Popp was responsible for the design of the establishment, which boasts modern and ingenious details, such as a series of blue microcement bars (inspired by the tapas bars of Madrid) and floor-to-ceiling bottle display shelves.
The sommelier Florence Turdera He is in charge of the wines and in his menu he orders them according to their characteristics: with bubbles, light whites, full-bodied whites, oranges, rosés, light reds, medium-bodied reds, full-bodied reds and late sweets. The cellar has more than fifty labels from small and medium-sized producers, which allow you to travel from the north to the south of the country, passing through different wine-growing regions. There are traditional varieties, but also more exotic ones that are worth tasting, such as Beguinol among the reds and Pinot Grigio among the whites.
As for the menu, the young chef Mercedes Female coordinates a limited but diverse one, which includes five “small plates”, two main dishes and two desserts, all made with excellent quality raw materials. It is suggested to start with the burnt ricotta with herbs, accompanied by a tomato chutney, eggplant and almond caramel. Then, you can continue with the slow-cooked roast, served with a Creole sauce emulsion and a red cabbage salad. Among the sweets, the homonymous is unmissable House Six, inspired by the breakfasts that Fidel’s father prepared for him and his brothers: a combination of coconut cake, coffee mousse, milk foam with ginger, chocolate sauce and toasted hazelnuts. According to the owner of the establishment, those flavors are a trip to childhood.
