Santa Claus’s team of reindeer flew over Moscow

A team of magic reindeer Santa Claus, who on Christmas Eve delivers gifts to children around the world, recently flew over Moscow. This was announced on December 24 by the North American Joint Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).

“Santa Claus flew to Moscow at about 14:15 Ottawa time (22:15 Moscow time),” the command wrote on the Twitter page.

Previously, radars recorded the appearance of magic sleighs on the Kuril Islands, in the cities of Siberia, the Urals and the Volga region, as well as in Australia, Japan, China, Kazakhstan, India, Africa and the Middle East. …

To date, according to NORAD estimates, Santa has given out more than 3 billion gifts.

Earlier on Friday, it was reported that US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden visited the children who are in the Children’s National Hospital during the Christmas holidays due to poor health.

To keep the kids entertained, the American leader called North America’s Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and inquired as to where Santa Claus was. He was told that he was flying over Turkmenistan.

The Joint Command of Aerospace Defense of North America each year begins to “track” the movement of Santa Claus and his team around the world. Children in Australia and New Zealand traditionally receive gifts first, then Santa Claus goes to Asia, Russia, Africa, Europe, Latin and North America.

The command is celebrating 66th anniversary of tracking Santa’s travels around the world this year, according to the agency’s website. For observation, 47 radars are used, located in the northern and eastern regions of the two countries, as well as satellites equipped with infrared sensors. They are believed to react to heat radiation emanating from the red nose of Rudolph, the leader of Santa’s reindeer.
