The clear success over the former league Croesus gave many reasons to fall into euphoria – but not for Riedauer.
“We have to continue to remain humble. It wasn’t long ago that we were fighting against relegation,” said the long-time Ried player after the final whistle. His analysis of the game was similarly sober.
“As far as the first half is concerned: We can play better. We were very efficient and scored two very nice goals,” said Glasner, who congratulated his team on the result, but was initially not entirely satisfied with the first line of defense.
After a few adjustments at halftime, Glasner liked his team’s game better. “After the 3-0 win, we played really great football,” said the 49-year-old.

When asked by a reporter whether his team’s recent developments could mean a promising next season, Glasner replied: “It’s May and it’s still quite cold – no, it’s not the time to talk about next season.”
