Been with the fire department for seventy years

Honoring Ernst Streitner, the oldest member of the Behamberg fire department.

Streitner turns 90 this year. The Lower Austrian state government has now awarded Streitner the medal for thanks and recognition in the field of fire services and rescue services for his 70 years of membership in the fire service. This was handed over by Commander Josef Hirtenlehner and Mayor Karl Josef Stegh at the May Festival.

Streitner has already received the following awards: 1972 Medal of Merit NÖ LFV 3rd class in bronze, 1979 Medal of Honor for many years of meritorious work in the field of fire and rescue services 25 years, 1994 Medal of Honor for many years of meritorious work in the field of fire and rescue services 40 years, 2004 Medal of Honor for many years of meritorious work in the field of fire and rescue services 50 years and 2014 Medal of Honor for many years of meritorious work in the fire service 60 years.
