A serious traffic accident occurred on Wednesday morning in the municipality of Aschach an der Donau (Eferding district). When a 40-year-old Kosovar woman wanted to cross Stiftstrasse around 9:50 a.m., she was hit by a car driven by an 89-year-old woman from the Urfahr-Raum district. The pensioner probably noticed the pedestrian too late and was unable to brake in time.
To the hospital by helicopter
The collision was so violent that the 40-year-old was thrown against the windshield. The rescue helicopter took the injured person to the clinic in Wels, the police said on Wednesday afternoon.
