Steyr Economic Association gets new boss

Bettina Stelzer-Wögerer becomes district office manager in Steyr-Stadt and thus takes on an important role for the regional economy. On May 16, the business association nominated Stelzer-Wögerer as the new district office chairwoman. She succeeds Eduard Riegler (Metallbau Riegler), who filled this position with great commitment for ten years.

Bettina Stelzer-Wögerer, married and mother of two adult children, is the managing director and partner at the helm of Wögerer GmbH, a company based in Steyr that was founded in 1953. The company, which employs around 40 people, specializes in holistic catering and hotel concepts.

Before her appointment as district office chairwoman, Bettina Stelzer-Wögerer worked as district chairwoman for women in business in Steyr from 2011 to 2021. Since 2021 she has also been deputy regional chairwoman of Woman in Business Upper Austria.

“It is important to me to pay special attention to the numerous successful small and medium-sized companies, as, alongside our high-performance industrial companies, they form an important pillar of Steyr as a business location,” says the new head of the business association. The Economic Association would like to thank Eduard Riegler for his many years of commitment and looks forward to working with Bettina Stelzer-Wögerer.
